Reviewed: Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.8G
The first installment of my review of the Nikon AF-S 50mm f/1.8G is now published.
So far, I cover an overview and MTF chart discussion, color balance compared to the 50/1.4G, vignetting and brightness compared to 4 other 50mm lenses, and autofocus accuracy under field conditions.
I encourage any Nikon shooter looking for an excellent 50mm lens that stays in budget to grab one. Note that on DX-frame Nikons, the 50/1.8G makes a very fine portrait lens.
The Nikon 50/1.8G was in stock, but is now available for pre-order at B&H Photo.
