A big thanks to B&H Photo for making the Sony SEL24F18Z 24mm f/1.8 E-Mount Carl Zeiss Sonnar available for testing (and the NEX-5N which is coming).
Just published in my in-depth review of the Sony NEX-7 is a new aperture series from ƒ/1.8 - ƒ/16 showing just how the Sony/Zeiss 24/1.8 Sonnar performs.
Also published is a page on correcting the lateral chromatic aberration (color fringing) on the Sony/Zeiss 24mm ƒ/1.8 Sonnar.
The test scene is shown below; I chose it for its 3D depth and for its high contrast edges and fine detail— instructive.
