The New Zeiss Ultrawide Lens
I’m not yet free to release details or images on the new Zeiss ultrawide lens (“Explore new perspectives in your pictures with a super-wide, 110° angle of view”), but it will of course get extensive coverage in my Guide to Zeiss ZF/ZE Lenses just as soon as the embargo date passes.
But I will say this: it is indeed a superlative offering, one that I have been hoping to see for several years now. I am working with the new lens and will have coverage on it soon.
Also, I will also be publishing a fascinating in-depth interview with Senior Scientist Dr. Hubert Nasse of Carl Zeiss, discussing the design goals, lens construction and performance of this all-new lens design. I thoroughly enjoyed what I learned from one of Zeiss' foremost experts.
