Just published in my review of the 36-megapixel Nikon D800 is a comparison of the Nikon D800 to the 24-megapixel Nikon D3x, which has been my most trusted DSLR for years now.
How does 36 megapixels pan out compared to a 24-megapixel camera with the Zeiss 15mm f/2.8 Distagon. The results are both surprising and useful.
I chose the test scene for its wealth of fine detail, surely a scene in which 12 more megapixels ought to excel.
