Sigma DP1 Merrill Examples — Fall Color Batch Coming

Sigma DP2 Merrill
Sigma DP1 Merrill

To my Guide to Mirrorless (ALLVIEW) I added four batches of examples yesterday.

Under most any circumstance I would not invest anywhere near this level of effort into a point and shoot camera, BUT the Sigma DP1 Merrill image quality is really quite stupendous on a per pixel basis (once one figures out numerous idiosyncracies). And truly it can rival DSLRs in the 20-24 megapixel range, its hallmark being extreme clarity of detail and exceptional clarity of color detail in particular.

Accordingly, I intend to present a batch of fall color examples which really took my breath away for their clarity and realism in a way that few other cameras could match.

I’ve cracked the secrets of Sigma Photo Pro (a truly awful software to work with), but I now understand how to get it to output what I want (with some patience and inordinate effort that should not be needed).
