UPDATE: Filtration for Lupine Betty R LED Lamphead: Double Duty as Photography Light

Lupine Betty R lamphead
Lupine Betty R lamphead

I run the awesome Lupine Betty R LED light for my night rides on my Moots Vamoots RSL road bike and various Moots mountain bikes.

See also the White Mountains descent at dusk video with dual Betty II lampheads.

For photographers, the powerful beam of the Lupine Betty R can also be used for night-time photography, but it does have a green cast.

Accordingly, I have updated my analysis of the Lupine Betty R lamphead using color compensating magenta gel filters over the lamphead at both the 12W and 40W Betty R output settings.

Color Rendition of Lupine Betty R lamphead — As shot and corrected with 10CC magenta
