Leica M Typ 240 / M240 vs Sigma DP2 Merrill (Pellegrino Bottles)
I found this scene a compelling illustration of relative resolution not only between the two cameras, but between APS-C and full frame in terms of depth of field.
In Guide to Leica:
Leica M Typ 240 vs Sigma DP2 Merrill (Pellegrino Bottles with Rulers).
The usual Retina grade images and crops are included at native and matched resolution for both from f/2 + f/2.8 - f/11.

Wow Lloyd, just so damn interesting ... of course you aren't making these cameras, they are interesting in and of themselves. What I am referring to is your very in depth and seemingly logical way of testing. (Yet, you do not see much of this level else where on the web.) No where else is there anyone revealing what the Merrill is capable of.
Your Leica series is so very definitive, too. Thank you!
DIGLOYD: I went through the exercise as an objective challenge to myself: to learn and to show where imaging performance stands in mid 2013 for two cameras having radically different technology, and with both being well out of the photography mainstream.
