Baffled by Canon PIXMA Pro-100 Printing Options: Different Between Machines

I made a bunch of prints yesterday using the print dialog as shown below.

Last night, an Apple software update popped up for the PIXMA Pro-100, and I installed it on Computer A. Today I set up printing on Computer B. Its options are completely different, and match what Computer A had yesterday (before the update).

Both computers are running OS X 10.8.5, both are accessing the same printer the same way, both have identical versions of Photoshop CS6. Yet the printer options are completely different on each.

The version number of 10.72.1.0 is identical for both machines, as shown below. Yet the interface is completely different. This has to be either a Photoshop or OS X bug.

Update: I quit Photoshop and rebooted: the interface flipped back to its original status like Computer B below. I don’t know if simply quitting Photoshop was the fix, or if the reboot was involved.

Driver version for the Canon PIXMA Pro-100 for OS X 10.8.5

The options shown below are accessed via the Print settings… button in the Photoshop print dialog. Click Print Settings… then choose Printer Features as shown below.

Computer A with the updated printing software

Woe is me: the software update delivered a plethora of undocumented options grouped under General 1, General 2, General 3, General 4 all under Printer Features. They seem to be some kind of low-level feature set, since many of them have choices of “0” or “1”, presumably for on/off.

Panel General 2 has two identical options for Black and White Photo Print! And many of the options are in conflict, so the result is a baffling mess with no documentation on Canon’s web site or from Apple, at least not that I can find.

Driver version 10.72.1.0.

Computer B

Computer B has a totally different Print Settings dialog and of the same version number. yet the Printer Features option with its four General panels shown above does not exist.
