This f/1.4 to f/16 aperture series showing HD and UltraHD images and large crops shows the best performance I have yet seen on the Sony A7R. I don’t expect to see it improved upon.
Apparently my support rail setup and perhaps the added mass of the Otus and rail squelched the Sony A7R shutter vibration issue for this series.
Since the setup apparently works to nullify the Sony A7R shutter vibration issue**, it is now time to press the Otus into service on the A7R for some creekside shooting to see just how lovely it is, for its color correction is at a far higher level than the Sony FE 55mm f/1.8 Sonnar.
* Specialty and non-native lenses stick to their native Guide habitat regardless of the camera body used.
** Hints of a very small issue at 1/80 sec remain.
