Then camera was leveled, then about 5mm of fall (downward shift) was used to obtain the desired framing. Thus the cabin is presented in an absolutely appropriate perspective free of geometric distortions from pointing the camera down. The lens itself appears to impart a slight barrel distortion, but that is another independent matter.

Precise attention was paid to exposure for the challenging dynamic range seen here, resulting in an ETTR exposure capturing nearly all the dynamic range while providing detail even into the dark areas. Conversion from raw exercised contrast control to pull up the shadows and retain the highlights.
