Please contact me via email: for sale (Sorry, email not clickable due to spammer email-harvesting). If you don’t receive a response, see the Contact information for possible reasons.

Prices do not include shipping. I ship FedEx 3-day and you pay for shipping & handling at my cost. Add 3% if you pay via PayPal (that’s what it costs me).

Photography equipment for sale

The term “excellent glass” for lenses means that there are no scratches, rub marks, etc and in most cases the glass has never been cleaned (no need). There is always some internal dust, even in new lenses used only for a few weeks; none of the lenses for sale have any amount of dust different than one would find with any other used lens.

While rare, I sometimes misprice an item or realize there is a reason to keep it. Until payment is made (or on its way), I reserve the right to withdraw an item.

All sales are final once payment is received. However, I stand 100% behind my description of the items, and if I’ve missed something material that affects the operation or quality or value of an item, I will of course allow a (prompt) return. Buyer’s remorse does not quality!

Cameras

Canon EOS 1D Mark III

Canon EOS 1D Mark III (10.1MP in beautiful condition with original box, manuals and accessories. Was serviced by Canon in Jan 2008 under the recall program with a 1 year warranty extension. $3500 or best offer.

Lenses

I’m selling equipment I either haven’t used or don’t anticipate using much to raise funds for new cameras and lenses that I need to review (I purchase all equipment at street prices for my reviews). Warranty cards (eg “Nikon USA warranty card”) are included as noted. This doesn't mean the warranty is transferable or still in force, but Nikon USA in particular might refuse to service non-USA lenses in the US.

Pictures/details available upon request.

Nikon 105mm f/2D DC $750. Mint condition, a terrific portrait lens. Nikon USA warranty card, box and manual.

Olympus 50mm f/1.2 in Nikon mount $800. Converted to Nikon mount by S.K. Grimes. This is a rare lens that produces very pleasing results for portraiture, etc.

Nikon 12-24 f/4 ED-IF AF-S DX $675 in mint condition with lens shade, front and rear caps. This is a USA lens, the best of four samples provided from Nikon USA as part of a warranty repair.

Nikon 50-300 f/4.5 EDIF zoom $1100 (manual focus). This older lens is in beautiful condition and might be Nikon’s finest example of build quality and a rock-solid tripod collar. A classic lens, one of the few that can cover full frame over that zoom range. Front and rear caps, no original box.

Other equipment for sale

CameraQuest Nikon to Leica M adapter (rangefinder-coupled) $350. Like all CameraQuest adapters, this adapter is the best quality money can buy. It is a year old, never used. I bought this adapter anticipating buying a Leica M8, but decided against it.

SuperNova P-99D dual HID bike light $700. With charger, cables, battery, manual, box—as new. An awesome light like nothing you've ever seen before, but I’ve standardized on Lupine, so I’m selling this beautiful German-made unit. A $1200 light bought new. See the SuperNova web site for details.
