Leica 100mm f/2.8 APO-Macro-Elmarit-R

Aperture Series: Green Machine (M240)

See also the same scene with the 90/2 APO.

At the time this series was shot (first experience with the R-Adapter M), the issues of M240 shutter vibration were not well understood. But due to the high shutter speeds through f/5.6, we can be confident that the results are accurate through f/5.6. Starting at f/8, the decline in quality is partly diffraction but might also start involve shutter vibration.

Leica R-adapter M used via tripod foot mount with 2-second self-timer and Light Metering Mode = Advanced ('Classic' with Live View off is better). The shutter vibration danger zone centers around 1/30 second, but might be as high as 1/125. 2-second self timer with Light Metering Mode = Advanced.
