This series shows the outstanding per-pixel detail of the DP1 Merrill, but also how diffraction begins to degrade that detail with stopping down, as it does with all cameras, inexorably.
With an APS-C camera having the 15 megapixel resolution of the DP1M, one can expect diffraction effects to exert some influence starting around f/8. The crops in this series show the progressive changes that come with stopping down.
