Sigma DP-1 Merrill

Long Exposures

The Sigma DP1 Merrill makes quite good exposures up to 30 seconds (not tested beyond that).

A black-frame subtraction (“long exposure noise reduction”) is used, as with most other digital cameras, so that a 30 second exposure requires an additional 30 seconds for the black frame measurement (to subtract out the background noise).

Images presented at 50% of actual pixels (linear), when clicked for full size.
