A7R Shutter Vibration at 180mm
Tripod mounting
For this test, the Novoflex Leica R to NEX lens adapter with the ASTAT tripod foot was used to mount the tripod foot into the tripod head. The Leica 180mm f/2.8 APO-Elmarit-R was mounted to the lens adapter. The 180/2.8 APO is is a moderately long and heavy lens, so this setup avoids overloading the camera lens mount (lever arm torque).
The tripod was placed on a carpeted floor, the head locked down and precise focus was achieved. Shots at f/4 and f/5.6, peak apertures. A variable light source was used to achieve different shutter speeds without changing aperture.
