Sony A7R: 'Shading Comp' Bug?
As observed in the Grass in Pot by Bench example, there is an unexpected vignetting increase at f/8 with the A7R, which appears to be a camera bug in Shading Comp.
The vignetting series suggests that the corner darkening seen here at f/8 is a malfunction, almost as if the
feature failed to activate.Observe the vignetting at f/8 from f/5.6: the corners go dark. The effect reverses at f/11. Original raw images were triple-checked and were also converted with another raw converter (Iridient Developer) with the same result.
