Sensor Image Stabilization in Less Stable Shooting Position (Backyard Frosty)

The EFC shutter (electronic first curtain) feature was enabled, for zero vibration from the camera shutter.

The portrait examples allowed a level and stable shooting stance for the photographer. Short of being able to brace oneself against an a solid object, that stance is most likely to yield sharp images at low shutter speeds.

This page examines results in less than ideal shooting positions—when the photographer has to bend over, stoop, squat and so on—positions in which it is more challenging to physically maintain a steady position due to physical exertion, possibly on uneven ground, balancing, etc.
