Field Examples: The Way Down Dana Glacier Canyon, Last Light (Sony A7R II)

These examples shot in Dana Glacier Canyon, just east of Yosemite.

The images capture the last portion of my descent returning from a 3-day backpacking overnight trip at higher elevation. All images were shot handheld with Sony IBIS, pausing briefly as subjects turned up.

Rather than comment on the images technically, most of the commentary is brief and on the subject matter.

Dana Lake #4

The 4th lake in Dana Glacier Canyon, the first one being uppermost. A double sunstar and ripples from surfacing trout decorate the surface of this beautiful lake, which is a deep blue in full sunlight. The lower portions of the Mt Conness ridgeline is seen in the distance.
