Olympus OM-D E-M5
Canon EOS 1D X

Olympus E-M5 + 25/1.4 ASPH vs Canon 1D X + 50/1.8 II (Dolls)

The Canon EOS 1D X is a full-frame DSLR which happens to have identical pixel dimensions in the short direction, though on a much larger sensor area.

Thus, the 4:3 crop of the Canon 1D X sensor is identical in megapixels to the OM-D E-M5, though the 1D X sensor is 3.42X larger in area (1.85X linearly) so its low light performance will be much more capable.

Still, one has to wonder: how does a $999 Olympus OM-D E-M5 compare in sharpness to a $6800 Canon 1D X in terms of image detail?
