Resolution: 1D X vs 5D Mark III (Dolls)

Here are compared the Canon EOS 1D X to its EOS 5D Mark III sibling at ƒ/8, to look for differences in resolving power.

The 5D Mark III produces 23% more pixels, with an 11% advantage in resolving power, which is just enough to be visible with a carefully focused image with a quality lens.


For this comparison, I increased my normal sharpening amount to 80 to really bring out the fine details possible.
