Ergonomics and Usability

With double the megapixels (1.4X the resolution) and improvements in various ways over its 5D Mark III predecessor, another key area to look at is the ergonomic and usability.

Menu system

The most confusing Canon DSLR yet offered. Unlike its 5D Mark III predecessor, it was a real chore to puzzle out the settings, some of which are not even in the right place, e.g., AF activation button control is not found under AF settings—crazy confusing.

Buttons that diminish usability

The Rate button can be programmed only two ways: rating and protecting files. This is crazy; there are plenty of other useful functions that could be made available via that button, such as accessing a specific frequently-used menu item.
