20mm Comparison: White Mountains
This test is of a landscape scenario at far focus (near infinity). The mid-day lighting was a good time of day to put aside creative photography and make a comparison under harsh but reasonably consistent lighting.
Lenses used:
- Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II
- Canon EF 20mm f/2.8
The scene was chosen to provide a wide near/far perspective, to show off any field curvature issues. There is not an exact match in angle of view between the lenses, but it is of no consequence, since the gross differences are obvious.
