These images are shot at various distances and apertures.


Nikon Capture NX 2.2.4 at Standard. All noise reduction off, all lens corrections OFF. Post processing in Photoshop was minimal. Sharpening at most: Smart Sharpen {100, 0.2, 0}.

Seed heads

Depth of field is of course shallow, but sharpness is very high, especially considering that these seeds heads were waving in the breeze, and this shot was handheld. Bokeh is pleasing, with graceful background and foreground out of focus characteristics.
