Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II

Main page

The Nikon AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II is a completely redesigned version of Nikon’s orginal 70-200mm f/2.8G VR IF-ED.

The predecessor 70-200mm f/2.8G VR was a “dog” on full frame, as you can read about here.

The new “II” version is dramatically superior at the long end on full-frame cameras, and offers better control of color aberrations as well, having 7 ED elements instead of 5.

See my review of the original 70-200mm f/2.8 VR.
