Processing

Nikon Capture NX 2.2.6 beta at Standard. All noise reduction off, all lens corrections OFF. Post processing in Photoshop typically Smart Sharpen {100, 0.2, 0} and sometimes a small amount of saturation.

Leaves in creek

Outstanding color, contrast and detail. The new Nikon lens coatings are major step forward compared to the 85/1.4D predecessor, with much more vibrant color and better saturation. The hazy bluish cast of the 85/1.4D is banished with the new lens coatings of the 85/1.4G.
