The Coastal Optics 60mm f/4 UV-VIS-IR APO macro is the finest lens available in terms of color correction (perfect color correction from UV through visible through infrared, far superior even to Leica “APO” lenses), but especially at distance it does not perform at the level of the Zeiss 100mm f/2 Makro-Planar in terms of sharpness, showing blur off-center at ƒ/4 and ƒ/5.6 on the Nikon D800 or D600.
