Canon 5DM3 vs Nikon D800E: Noise (Dolls / Pellegrino)
Here is examined the Nikon D800E versus the Canon 5D Mark III for noise behavior at ISO 100. Both cameras were shot using their best quality raw format images.
The Zeiss 135mm f/2 APO-Sonnar was used on both cameras at f/8 (ZF.2 version for the Nikon, ZE version for Canon).
These images were not matched perfectly for focus/sharpness and thus that evaluation should not be made here based upon these crops.
