Previous pages shows both accurate and inaccurate results.
This test uses a dark but high contrast target which to my eye is completely unambigous. AF-S mod with AF-S priority selection = Focus and AF Fine Tune = 0. Also, I verified that the position of the focus sensor as indicated by the camera in the viewfinder is actually accurate (using the edge of walls and similar targets).
A Live View frame was taken as a reference.
