Aperture Series: Church Mosaic, Dusk (Pentax K-1 SuperRes)
This scene evaluates the Pentax 50mm f/2.8 at near-infinity focus but in the shade at dusk as an interesting comparison versus the sunlit mosaic example. Interesting in that the contrast is far lower (no side lighting) and the lighting is cool (more blue) as well. As well, this example has absolutely nailed the results across the top of the frame, which shows the 50/2.8M at its very best.
SuperRes pixel shift mode (“SR-PSM”) of the Pentax K1 was used, for maximum image quality.
Image sizes up to 28 megapixels along with large crops provide a detailed look at the “whole package” (lens and camera).
