Lenses

It appears that just as with Canon and Nikon there are build quality differences in the lens line, with the equivalent of “L” glass in the Sony line eg the Zeiss ZA series, including the 135mm f/1.8 Sonnar.

I was not provided the 24-70/2.8 zoom, but it reportedly is superb.

Lens mount

Kudos to Sony for designing what looks to be a very robust and large lens mount. Yet it’s a shame that Sony couldn't have adopted the mechanical aspects of Canon’s or Nikon’s lens mount: the world doesn’t need another proprietary lens mount.
