Build quality
Overall build quality is sleek, first class. No one will dislike this camera on its appearance, and surely it will be *the* camera to have at that all important social gathering: sleek and pretty, with autofocus (just in case it’s used for more than jewelry). But it’s not just beautiful; it is a fine camera for making images for some purposes—not a generalist, but certainly the best street shooting camera Leica has ever produced.
Portability and size/weight
The Q is neither small nor light nor compact, coming in at 700 grams with battery and supplied strap and SD card, and that’s before any grip is added: the Q is “slippery” to your author’s fairly large hands, with only the rear indent to provide any grasp. Some users add a thumb brip, but this can block the top/rear button. Really Right Stuff might offer a base plate with a grip.
