Lens Correction Examples (mostly for Zeiss)

This page has been largely superceded by the Color Shading for M-Mount lenses on Leica M9. However, there are a few lenses on this page not present on the newer page.

What follows are examples of various lenses without and with Lens Detection, as noted. Lighting was fairly uniform but not guaranteed perfect, so don’t read anything into minor variations, look at the overall result.

Within Photoshop, a Gaussian Blur was used to smooth out the images, eliminate dust spots, etc. All lenses were shot at f/8, and RAW processing set the center of the image to neutral gray of {200,200,200} in ProPhotoRGB 16-bit, adding exposure compensation as need to match within 1 RGB value. Images were all converted to 8-bit sRGB JPEGs for display here.
