Distortion: 28mm f/2.8 Elmarit-M ASPH
Distortion is exemplary for a 28mm lens, one can hardly hope to better it. The 28/2 Summicron-M has about twice the distortion, though that amount occurs approaching the edges and corners.
While this level of distortion can be noticed on a flat horizon or man-made structure (straight lines), it is so low that it is likely to go unnoticed by most viewers.
Distortion is of a wave-type: very mild pincushion reversing to very mild barrel distortion with the inflection point about 3/4 of the way from optical center..
