Leica 280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R

Aperture Series: Telephone Poles and Snowy Peak (M240)

The 280/4 has a robust lens tripod foot which is integral to the lens body, far superior to the lengthy extension tripod foot designs found with Canon and Nikon long telephotos. By keeping the tripod foot short and stocky, stability is enhanced.

Leica R-adapter M used to attach lens, but built-in tripod foot on the 280/4 used to mount lens to tripod. The shutter vibration danger zone for the 280/4 is probably improved relative to the focal length due to the robust tripod foot.
