Zeiss ZF.2 135mm f/2 APO-Sonnar T*

Distortion

Zeiss and Leica consider 1-2% distortion as “nearly invisible”, with 0.5% definitely “invisible”. Yet on architecture, even 0.5% distortion can be plainly seen (straight lines give it away).

Pincushion distortion is easy to correct in various programs, but for most applications, the very low level of distortion makes it a non-issue.

However, for those doing stitching, architecture and similar, the near-zero distortion of the 100mm f/2 Makro-Planar might prove more suitable.
