Overview of Milvus 135/2
The about $2199 Zeiss Milvus 13mm f/2 APO-Sonnar uses the same optical formula as its ZF.2/ZE predecessor. As such, the review of its predecessor is applicable in every way, except for flare control, which has been improved.
Build style and ergonomics aside, the main difference is that flare control has been improved with the Milvus 135mm f/2.
Aperture control
The F-mount version uses a manual iris ring as with the other ZF.2 lenses, but with full electronic 1/3 stop control. The manual aperture ring on the ZF.2 model allows using the lens not just on Nikon, but on Canon, Leica M240, Sony mirrorless, etc— any camera that has an adapter for Nikon F-mount.
