The about $824 Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM was released by Canon in July 2012. This is quite expensive by traditional Canon standards for a 24mm f/2.8 prime lens, which suggests that Canon might have improved its game. How does it compare to the venerable Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 Distagon?
