These examples were shot with the Zeiss ZF.2 35mm f/2 Distagon on the 24MP Nikon D3x in northern Death Valley National Park, the White Mountains of California, and Yosemite National Park, in November 2010.

I’ve never seen anyone do anything but drive right by this shooting opportunity, near the road in Patriarch Grove at 11,000'. I had the entire area to myself in late November, absolutely nobody around approaching nightfall, and only 1 or 2 vehicles all day long. I can take you here on a photo tour.
