Eagles Galore, Page 1

Related: eagle, Alaska

This page and the next three pages show a wide variety of Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) images.

Some images were chosen for strong composition, some for plumage, some for eagle behavior, and so on. Juveniles and adults are shown also. These are WILD eagles, albeit accustomed to people.

Some opportunities are truly once in a lifetime; this 'show' is now gone forever with the death of Jean Keene. It was controversial (the eagle feeding), and I generally oppose feeding any animal in the winter (particularly deer and excepting my cat), but there was never any proven negative effect. And the show was wondrous fair to behold. The images that follow should show that.
