Working on Zeiss examples
Update! A new page of examples for the Zeiss 25mm f/2.8 Distagon on the Nikon D3x, taken in the White Mountains of California.
I really like shooting the 25/2.8 Distagon for hiking photography; it just seems to fit really well into so many scenarios, and it’s a very compatible size and weight for hiking. At about $1000, it’s a relative bargain in the Zeiss line.
I’m plowing through all my trip images from a few weeks ago, which is taking time. As I noted last week, I’ll be adding a variety of images to my Guide to Zeiss ZF/ZE Lenses, for the 25/2.8 Distagon, 28/2 Distagon, 35/2 Distagon, 50/1.4 Planar, 50/2 Makro-Planar, and a few for the 100/2 Makro-Planar and 21/2.8 Distagon. I also made a special effort to compare the 50mm f/2 Makro-Planar to the 50mm f/1.4 Planar near and far. All of this work is now in progress.
