Sony NEX-7: Zeiss ZM 25/2.8 Biogon and 35/2 Biogon Examples + Noise Reduction by Downsampling
Published in DAP in my Sony NEX-7 review are examples with the Zeiss ZM 25mm f/2.8 Biogon and examples with Zeiss ZM 35mm f/2 Biogon.
Also published is a page examining the idea of noise reduction by downsampling and a new note on the problematic NEX-7 ISO-changing dial behavior, an infuriating user interface defect.
These are landscape examples, less “inspired” than those I prefer with a human touch, but I have more lenses coming to test and I have to get things done, and these ZM lenses have to go back.
They examples are very instructive however, and the wonderful thing is that I can go for a mountain bike ride with the NEX-7 and 5 Zeiss ZM lenses in a small hip pack that weighs less than 5 pounds with the pack included! That’s a world of difference over a Nikon D3x.
