Followup on Lexar SDHC Cards
Back in September 2011, I wrote about loss of images with SanDisk SHDC cards.
I tried Lexar Professional SDHC and had no further issues. But then Leica issued a firmware update for the M9, and I’ve also had no further SanDisk issues. So that difference is inconclusive.
The good news is that Lexar Professional SDHC cards have worked well in my Leica M9/M9P and other cameras like the Fuji X100 and Sony NEX.
I am intrigued by the RobGalbraith.com tests for the Nikon D4, which show that the Nikon D4 performs best with the Lexar Professional 1000X CompactFlash cards. I’d like to try one in the new D800 (huge files!), maybe Lexar will send me an eval card.
According to Rob’s tests, the Sony XQD card is even faster in the Nikon D4, but the last thing I need is a card type that fits in only one camera that I probably won’t end up owning (unless it impresses me mightily and I trade up from my Nikon D3s).
