Fujifilm SilkyPix Installer for Mac OS X

Fuji X-Pro1

Bookmark my compact cameras gear page for Fuji X-Pro1 availability status.

Below is what you get on Mac OS X Lion when you try to install from the CD included with a brand-new Fujifilm X-Pro1.

I reported this problem way back in November, 2011. It is now April 2012.

PowerPC? WTF?

I guess I won’t be reporting on the X-Pro1 for a while, since Adobe Camera RAW does not yet support it.

Does anyone at Fuji realize how clueless they are?

UPDATE: the “SILKYRFCEXInstaller.pkg” (nice name, eh?) can be installed. It ran and did something, but I had to go search to figure out what it had installed: “RAW FILE CONVERTER EX powered by SILKYPIX.app”. Slick, really slick. Do lawyers now create the application name also. But the program is so hideously bad that I refuse to use it.
