Guide to Leica: Four Leica R 'APO' Lenses Added (Use with Canon or Nikon)
To my Guide to Leica, I’ve added four 'APO' Leica 'R' lenses. Leica R lenses can be shot on Nikon bodies (with conversion) and on Canon (with lens adapter).
My Guide to Leica, covers (mainly) the Leica M9 and Leica/Zeiss ZM/Voigtlander M lenses for it, but also the Leica S2 and now these Leica R lenses.
The following four lenses are now added.
- Leica 90mm f/2 APO-Summicron-R ASPH.
- Leica 100mm f/2.8 APO-Macro-Elmarit-R.
- Leica 180mm f/2.8 APO-Elmarit-R.
- Leica 280mm f/4 APO-Telyt-R.
I am really glad I obtained these lenses a few years ago when prices on 'R' glass were at rock bottom! Not so anymore.
It is my intent to flesh out my coverage on these four lenses. Other might be added, but since I don’t have any others, that will take time and many of them are not lenses that I would necessarily consider better than the Zeiss ZF.2 / ZE alternatives.
