Zeiss 28mm f/2 Distagon on the Nikon D800E (vs Nikon 28/1.8G)

To my Guide to Zeiss ZF / ZE Lenses I’ve added a new comparison using the Nikon D800E, showing the Zeiss 28mm f/2 Distagon versus the new Nikon AF-S 28mm f/1.8G

This comparison is not a review of the Nikon 28/1.8G, in fact the lens look “iffy” enough that I will be returning it and sending it back for another sample, so my review of the 28/1.8G (in DAP) will be delayed until I can obtain another sample. I have pretty much resigned myself to hit-and-miss assembly quality with Nikon lenses, one reason I like to stick with Zeiss (very few issues over many lenses), though I know that autofocus is essential for some photographers.
