Off to Yosemite for some Zeiss and Nikon and Canon Work (and Cycling)
What better way to acclimatize for 20,000+ vertical feet of ascent in one day than to spend the 5 days prior photographing in Yosemite? With an enjoyable bicycle and some steady training, any determined cyclist can do it.
I’ll be working on new images for my Guide to Zeiss ZF / ZE Lenses, especially in showing the Zeiss ZF.2 line on the Nikon D800E, as well as testing a 2nd and hopefully more optically symmetric sample of the Nikon 28mm f/1.8G (about $699).
I’m also taking along the Canon 5D Mark III, and perhaps a worthwhile comparison scene will present itself for the Nikon D800/D800E/Canon 5DM3 to fight it out.
I’ll also likely shoot some Leica R glass for examples in my Guide to Leica, particularly the 180/2.8 APO and 100/2.8 APO.
