More Time-Lapse Videos With Nikon D800E

Just posted in DAP are two more 1080 time lapse videos:

I’m struck by the sheer raw beauty of time lapse video— and the quality is ultra-high, leaps and bounds better than standard video, yet the bitrate is the same— just goes to show what garbage the Nikon D800 produces for standard 1080p video: with the same bitrate and the strikingly different quality, it’s clear that regular 1080p video is a severely compromised feature.

Makes me tempted to shoot time-lapse at 1-2 frames per second for nature stuff; real time footage is not really needed and actually less interesting for many things.

Shot with the Zeiss 15mm f/2.8 Distagon and Zeiss 18mm f/3.5 Distagon.
