B&H Photo tells me that me Leica 50mm f/2 APO-Summicron-M ASPH will be in my hands on Monday.

With any luck I will be able to dig up a Leica M Typ 240 for testing on an upcoming trip to Yosemite and the White Mountains, but if not, the Leica M9P is no slouch.

Already there is fairly extensive coverage of the 50/2 APO ASPH in Guide to Leica, but this go-round I want to enjoy the beautiful early spring in the high mountains, and to make a variety of outdoor images, including comparisons with the 50/1.4 Summilux-M ASPH and 50/0.95 Noctilux-M ASPH.
