Just to drop you a note that I've experimented with the Ricoh GW-3 which is essentially a 0.75x wide angle converter which mounts onto a 49mm filter thread. Perfect for DP1/2 Merrills, which reduces the crop factor to just 1.1x!! No need for adaptors unlike on Ricoh GR. Just mount it on.
I'm enjoying it on DP1M especially now that it's 21mm angle of view! It doesn't degrade the image quality much, or at least not noticeable when making a stop down. I would highly recommend it for use on the Merrills. Price is more reasonable comparing to the Fuji WCL-100.

I have not tested the Ricoh GW-3 myself, but even if image quality is a bit lower, getting 21mm out of the Sigma DP1 Merrill might be a useful option. The Sigma DP Merrill cameras have built-in 49mm filter threads and so the GW-3 screws right in.
Possibly it would have merit in the DP2 and DP3 Merrills; the 0.75X would yield 33mm and 56mm views (in full frame equivalency terms), e.g., 28/45/75 (equiv) would become 21/33/56 (equiv).
Note that on the Ricoh GR, the Ricoh GH-3 adapter is required.
