The per-pixel image quality of the Sigma DP Merrill cameras is fantastic, as I show in my review of the Sigma DP1 / DP2 / DP3 Merrill (28mm, 45mm, 75mm equivalents). And the lens quality is second to none. About $938.
But no matter what I might show in my reviews or say in my commentary, nothing beats a reader buying one and using it.

I dropped-off my entry today at the "Morning Call 7th Annual Juried Exhibition" at the Baum School of Art in Allentown, PA.
It was taken with the Sigma DP3 Merrill and printed as a split-tone in cream and brown. The Gallery Assistant remarked that the photo looked 3 dimensional and also appeared to be film not digital. It is an impressive print from the Epson 3880 on Wm. Turner 360GSM. The image quality from the DP3 Merrill knocks me out.
Thank you for your work in explaining the camera and its qualities.
DIGLLOYD: Odd (not really!), that was the same comment I’ve heard about my tulips image.
Lorenzo the llama (my image) was spitting-excited about the DP3M.
